His workshops clients include corporate organisations, community groups, youth groups and primary and high schools for school students.

Owen can travel across Australia or internationally to run his workshops.

Corporate Workshops & Adult Community Group Workshops

We can run 1/2 day or full day cultural art workshops onsite.

The workshops include painting either individual canvases or contributing to a group canvas, and cultural information session.

  • 3hr Individual canvas workshops start at $1380+GST.
  • Full-day 6hr group canvas workshops start at $2950+GST.

 

NOTE: For all workshop types, the travel mileage or airfares, travel time and accommodation costs will be quoted for this to be covered by the workshop group.

Group Canvas Workshop

In our full day group canvas workshops, staff are guided through contributing on artworks using Wiradjuri art techniques and imagery.

In these workshops Owen provides learning about Wiradjuri culture, as well as demonstrations of painting techniques, and information about artefacts such as the didgeridoo and coolamon.

Individual Canvas Workshop

In our 3 hour individual canvas workshops, staff are guided through painting on their own canvas using Wiradjuri art techniques and imagery.

In these workshops Owen provides learning about Wiradjuri culture, as well as demonstrations of painting techniques, and information about artefacts such as the didgeridoo and coolamon.

STUDENT/YOUTH PROGRAMS

WORKSHOPS

We can run stencil or canvas art workshops with children whereby they learn about Wiradjuri symbols in art.

These workshops are incredibly popular, and kids love to learn about Wiradjuri culture and come away with their own stencil artwork or canvas artwork from the session.

  • 1.5hr Stencil workshops start at $700+GST, and are suitable for children 5-18.
  • 3hr Canvas workshops start at $1050+GST, and are suitable for High School aged children 12-18.


CURRICULUM SUPPORT

Curriculum Support days are a new offering to assist teachers in delivering First Nations focused arts and culture curriculum components for schools Kindergarten to Year 12.

Owen can attend the school for a full day, and this support is $750+GST per day.

Stencil Workshops (5-18 yrs old)

In the Stencil Art workshops, students will be able to participate in learning about Wiradjuri Culture, as well as traditional art techniques.

Students select a stencil template, and then can create a drawing of their chosen animal under guidance from Owen.

Students also learn about Wiradjuri cultural items such as the didgeridoo, clapping sticks and coolamons.

Youth/Student Canvas Art Workshops (12+ yrs old)

In the Canvas Art workshops, students aged over 12 years will be able to participate in learning about Wiradjuri Culture, as well as traditional art techniques.

Students are provided instruction on how to paint an animal under guidance from Owen.

Students also learn about Wiradjuri cultural items such as the didgeridoo, clapping sticks and coolamons.

Curriculum Support Day

In a Curriculum Support Day, Owen attends the school for the day and provide curriculum support with cultural guidance to teachers who are sharing learning about First Nations art and culture as part of the curriculum.

The aim is to support teachers who are introducing Wiradjuri and indigenous art as part of First Nations cultural studies.

This is a dynamic support option where Owen assists the teacher in delivering cultural awareness, knowledge sharing and art technique guidance and the support is tailored to the individual school.
